Lazio have invited a number of former stars to the Stadio Olimpico to attend their 26th May anniversary celebrations.
On 26th May 2013, the Biancocelesti won one of the most important Derby della Capitale clashes of all time, beating rivals Roma in the Coppa Italia final. The result is a key part of the folklore of the rivalry in Rome.
Lazio have planned some celebrations for the 10th anniversary of this triumph and have released a special black and gold kit, which’ll be worn in the upcoming Serie A clash with Cremonese.
As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via AllAroundLazio), Lazio have invited members of that Coppa Italia winning squad to the Stadio Olimpico to attend the celebrations.
Former Biancocelesti players Federico Marchetti, Antonio Candreva, Giuseppe Biava, Abdoulay Konko, Hernanes, Lorik Cana, Cristian Ledesma, Stefano Mauri, Sergio Floccari, Cristian Brocchi and Albano Bizzarri have all been handed an invitation.
Vladimir Petković, the man who oversaw that triumph, will not attend the party, but some members of his staff at the time have accepted the invitation.
